Looks like Samsung has finally decided to launch its foldable mobile, not Galaxy X. Most probably it will be the Samsung Galaxy F. Samsung CEO DJ Koh confirmed that the company was “focusing on developing innovations that will be genuinely accepted and liked by consumers” for the foldable phone but also that the company “didn’t want to lose the worlds first title”.
Apple is also preparing for its foldable mobile which they gonna launch in 2020. Bank of America Merrill Lynch has stated that the smartphone maker is working with its Asian partners on a foldable device which will be able to open up and be used like an iPad tablet. Previously, reports suggested that Apple was working with LG Display to build a foldable iPhone. Apple has also filed a patent last year in which the company proposed to make an iPhone which can open and close like a book.
The world’s third-largest smartphone maker Huawei is also rumored to be working on a foldable device which might release this year. In October last year, Huawei CEO Richard Yu had stated that the company was working on a prototype device which needed improvement to its design. According to Yu, the device had two screens, and there was still a small gap between them that needed to be fixed.
